Habitat for Humanity Photo Gallery

Letter from the new homeowner continued...

One morning I was watching the news and I saw a family getting keys to their new home. A man started talking about how Habitat helped that family and how they help other families. If found out that there was a Habitat for Humanity office in New Orleans and called. From that day until now has been a very happy time for me and my family because we know we will be moving into our own home one day.

It was a goal we were all willing to work for. Going to worksites, working along with the other families, knowing we were working toward the same goal made me feel good. I met a lot of people who were willing to give of their time to make this happen for me and the other families. I feel blessed and thank God for these people and Habitat for making this happen for me and family. I would like to thank the founder of Habitat for thinking of people like me and helping me to one day become a homeowner. I would like to thank all of the Habitat workers for coming to the sites and putting on seminars showing me how to fix things that might break in my home because I didn't know anything about building or repairing things.

Always gracefully,

Rosalee, Adrian, Franklin, and Terell Lewis
