Women's Council of REALTORS®The Women's Council of REALTORS® is a community of real estate professionals creating career opportunities, promoting success strategies and inspiring leadership and individual achievement for its members. This is achieved by providing an extensive referral network and educational program for personal and career growth. The WCR was established in 1938 by 37 professional real estate women representing nine states. Today we have over 13,000 members active in 300 local chapters around the country, with nine regions and 35 state chapters. The typical WCR member is a woman who has more than 11 years working full time in residential housing sales. CRS ChapterCertified Residential Specialists are designated by the REALTORS National Marketing Institute®. Those receiving this certification must take courses over and beyond those required for state real estate licenses and have years of on-the-job experience. Through this training and experience, a CRS Chapter members demonstrate top-level skills to employ for their clients. Only four per cent of real estate agents nationwide have attained the CRS designation.
