This CE course is the 2023 LREC approved mandatory topic course. All broker and salesperson licensees are required to complete this course as part of their required CE hours.

This course meets the standards for the NAR® Code of Ethics Requirement – Cycle Seven. This course will review the history of the Code of Ethics as it relates to its origins, its influence on state licensing laws and its establishment of arbitration as the monetary dispute resolution process between REALTORS®. Finally, we will apply the REALTOR® Code of Ethics Articles to everyday real estate practices.
This course will grant you 3 hours of LREC continuing education, while also completing the NAR Code of Ethics – Cycle Seven requirement. The NAR Code of Ethics renewal has moved from a 2-year to a 3-year requirement; Cycle Seven began in 2022 and will end in 2024.

This course will review the roles of both a residential and a commercial property manager and the differences between them. We will review the best practices in tenant relations to improve the agent’s leasing success. Finally, this course will expand on the importance of the property manager’s responsibility to account for funds received and disbursed in the transaction.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be familiar with the Equal Credit Opportunity Act. This course will identify the differences and similarities between the three credit reporting agencies to know what is included and excluded in a free credit report. We will also review how to properly read a credit report, how to spot errors, and who to contact to get these errors corrected. Finally, we will investigate the truth behind many credit myths agents and borrowers have such as, “why all debt is not treated equal” and “closing old accounts will help my credit score.”
